Are there any qualifications for cannabis buying and consumption in this California city? Sure, there’s always legal guidelines when it comes to getting ganja. Here’s what you need to know.
First of all, medical marijuana patients must be at least 18 with a doctor’s recommendation. They also have to apply for a state-issued card. Recreational tokers must be at least 21 years old.
How much weed can you buy? Those with a med card have higher possession limits. They also can grow more plants at home. Altogether, pot patients can have 6 to 12 plants and eight ounces of cannabis at a time. Casual users can own six plants max and up to an ounce of flower.
Do you have to be a native Californian? No, out-of-state stoners can shop at LA dispensaries. Factually, tourists can buy weed legally throughout the state. All you need is a valid driver’s license for recreational. California doesn’t recognize out-of-state medical certification. But you can apply for one without a local address. Or you could just buy recreational.
